Tangles (1981 – Richard Zawitz / Tangle Creations)

Not a traditional puzzle, but a sensory twisting toy that challenged pattern recognition and 3D creativity. Made from interlocking curved pieces, you could reconfigure a Tangle endlessly. Early versions were part toy, part kinetic sculpture. They became fidget tools before that term even existed. Vintage Tanglers seek the original colorways and build quality, often lost in newer mass-market releases. It’s as calming as it is collectible.
